Keys to the Past

Throckrington Bastle (Bavington)

A bastle was recorded at Throckrington in the 19th century, but no trace of it has been seen since. It has been suggested that some possible bolt holes in the wall of a farm building may be part of the bastle but these have not been confirmed.

Reference number: N9241
Historical period: Post-medieval (1540 to 1900)
