| A lime kiln is marked on the first edition Ordnance Survey map of about 1860. A survey in 1976 showed that it was built of rough stone and two of the walls still stood up to 1.5 metres high. There is a fire hole in one wall and there may have been two draw arches. The kiln has been out of use for some time as there is a mature tree growing in the centre of it and the stonework has been taken to build nearby field walls.
