| The ruins of an old bastle seem to lie amongst a group of ruined buildings at Stokoe Crags. The buildings lie on a low ridge above the valley bottom. The westernmost building has very thick walls with massive corner stones. The building has been extended to the east at two different times and although the walls are thinner, there are some bastle features built into them, such as the doorways and small window openings. Another later building lies to the east again, making a quite complex group of buildings.
