| These are the ruins of a medieval tower house. It was probably built in the 14th century. Three walls of the square building still survive. They stand up to two storeys high and are over 1m thick in places. The tower was probably too small to be a permanent house, but may have been used as a temporary shelter during Scottish raids. This is a Grade II listed building and a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
