| St Cuthbert's Chapel is a single-cell building and was built in about 1370. It is built on top of an earlier building, as there is 12th and 13th century masonry in the lower parts of the north wall. The chapel was restored in the 1840s by Archdeacon Thorp. Outside the west wall of the chapel are the foundations of a small room which may a porch or chapel at the entrance of the church, sometimes known as a galilee and typical of churches dedicated to St Cuthbert. Inside, the chapel is furnished with 17th century woodwork made for Bishop Cosin in about 1665 at Durham Cathedral and brought to Inner Farne in the 1840s. This is a Scheduled Monument and Grade II* Listed Building protected by law. See also:
