Bolton Leper Hospital (Hedgeley)

Bolton Leper Hospital was founded in 1225. It became a small monastery in the 14th century. All that remains of the buildings, which would have included a chapel, a well, a perimeter wall and accommodation are earthworks, and the remains of some walls. Bolton Leper Hospital is a Scheduled Monument, protected by law.
