The Portcullis Gate, Armoury Tower and forecourt walls to Ford Castle are Grade I Listed Buildings protected by law. They date to 1791 and were designed by Nisbet of Kelso for Sir John Hussey Delaval. They incorporate earlier masonry dating to the 16th or 17th century.
