| The Flagpole Tower, also known as the Cow Tower, was once the south-west tower of Ford Castle, but is now isolated from the rest of the castle. The tower dates to the 14th century and the parapet was added in 1791. The tower was restored in 1862. The Tower and forecourt wall is a Grade I Listed Building and a Scheduled Monument, protected by law.
