| Bickerton Farmhouse was probably first built in the 18th century, though it is possible that it contains the remains of a 17th century bastle. It stands to the east of the main house which was probably built in the 19th or 20th century. There is also another 18th century section, which is now used as a garage and contains the remains of an old bread oven. In 1983/4 an old drain under the front lawn was uncovered and finds from the 14th to 17th century were found.
