Walwick medieval village (Humshaugh)

The earliest record of a village at Walwick is in the late 12th century. It is also mentioned in some later documents and shown on an 18th century map as a small settlement with seven buildings. It now has about five houses and a farmstead but there are no earthworks of the previous buildings.
