Fozy Moss moated site and fishpond (Simonburn)
This is an unusual medieval site surrounded by a moated site lying in a flat low-lying position on an area of open moorland. The moat is oval in shape and enclosed by a ditch. There is an entrance on the south-west side. The inside of the enclosure is raised and there are faint traces of buildings to be seen. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
