Bastle at Mellom Cottage (Haydon)

The house adjoining the west end of Mellom Cottage is a post-medieval bastle. Archaeologists know it as Chesterwood III and it is one of a group of five bastles at Chesterwood. This is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
