Grindon School Roman temporary camp (Haydon)

Earthworks are all that remain of this Roman temporary camp, built and occupied by the Roman army. The same area was ploughed in the medieval period, causing ridge and furrow earthworks. Grindon School Roman camp is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
