Outbuildings north of Hollybush Farmhouse (Allendale)
The outbuildings at Hollybush Farm are a bastle that was altered in the late 17th or early 18th century. An adjoining barn is 19th century in date. The bastle was built in the late16th or early 17th century and has thick stone walls. The original byre doorway is still in place although, is now blocked, and the original upper doorway seems to be marked by a recess. This is a Grade II Listed Building protected by law.
