Thorngrafton Farm Bastle (Bardon Mill)
This house was probably originally once a bastle, a fortified farmhouse. It measures 8.6m by 6.3 and has walls up to 1.4m thick. Only the lower parts of the wall are likely to belong to the original bastle, built in the late 16th or early 17th century.
