Altars and possible temple at Chesterholm (Henshaw)

Four Roman altars were recorded at Chesterholm in the early 1960s. They were built into buildings, walls and a rockery. Unfortunately, since the garden wall was rebuilt one of the stones has been lost. The number of altars may suggest there was a temple somewhere nearby.
