Turret 38b (Henshaw)

This turret was found by archaeologists during excavations here in 1911. Today it is an earthwork platform measuring 6.8m north to south by 13.4m across. It stands on the top of Highshields Crags and would have had a good view of all the land around. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
