Turret 40b on Hadrian's Wall on a ridge near Lodham Slack (Melkridge)

This turret is known by archaeologists as Turret 40b. It is a Scheduled Monument, part of Hadrian's Wall. The remains of the turret have been excavated by archaeologists twice, in 1912 and 1946.
