Catcleugh Fold Roman period native enclosure (Kielder)
Between AD43 and AD410, during the Roman occupation of Britain, native people built this oval-shaped enclosure surrounded by a bank. Although no traces of houses were found, the enclosure may have been a settlement. Today the enclosure has been partially destroyed by a forest track.
