Bastle at Hanging Shaw (Knaresdale with Kirkhaugh)
The bastle at Hangoing Shaw was built at an unknown date in the post-medieval period. The bastle was altered in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is now in use as a farm building. Archaeologists call this bastle Hanging Shaw II.
