Remains of a shieling near Mardy's Cleugh (Knaresdale with Kirkhaugh)

Farmers in the medieval period built a stone shieling here, on a terraced platform above Mardy's Cleugh. The shieling is now ruined, but the north and west walls are still approximately 1.5m high.
