Neolithic stone axe head found near Longhoughton (Longhoughton)

This stone axe head was made between 4000 and 6000 years ago, in what archaeologists call the Neolithic period. It was found near Longhoughton in 1934. The axe head is stored at Alnwick Castle Museum.
