Bronze Age barrow burial (Longhoughton)
Between approximately 2000 and 3500 years ago, during what archaeologists call the Bronze Age, people built barrows for the burial of their dead. A 19th century writer reported seeing three barrows here. Today, the remains of two barrows can be seen at this location.
