Bronze Age burials (Eglingham)
In the early 20th century a Bronze Age burial cairn was excavated in the side of a sand pit in South Charlton. The primary burial cist was excavated as well as nine secondary burials. A number of pottery vessels were found with the burials including food vessels, urns and incense cups.
