Lemmington Hall park (Edlingham)

The grounds of Lemmington Hall were probably created in the 18th century, although the formal gardens around the hall were laid out by Sir Stephen Aitchison around 1913. In the 19th century the grounds were described as 'extensive woods and pleasure grounds and possessing .. a walled garden well stocked with fruit trees, vineries and peach house and .. any quantity of old grassland.' Many of the built structures within the garden are Listed Buildings, including a monumental column by John Soane brought here from Felbridge Park, Surrey in 1928.
