Bronze Age hoard (Denwick)
A hoard of Bronze Age weapons was discovered in Hulne Park in 1726 by a mason extracting rock. The hoard consisted of 20 swords, up to 18 inches (about 45cm) long, 16 spearheads and 42 axe heads. Their present location is unknown.
