Hazon (Newton-on-the-Moor and Swarland)

This is the site of the deserted medieval village of Hazon. Although first recorded in 1242 all that can be seen today is a mill and three widely spread farms. Apart from areas of ridge and furrow there are no remains to be seen of the village.
