Bronze axe found at Acton (Felton)
A Bronze Age flanged axe, with a side loop, was discovered at Acton in 1886. The axe was found when a pond was deepened and measured 17cm long. The axe was unfinished as the marks of the mould were still present. It was given to the collection of Reverend William Greenwell.
