Stone axehead from Lanehead (Newton-on-the-Moor and Swarland; Felton)

A Neolithic stone axehead was discovered near Lanehead, Felton in 1931. It was found in the bed of a dried up stream and measured about 14cm long. The axe is now in the Museum of Antiquities, Newcastle.
