Tower at Middleton (Belford with Middleton)

A tower at Middleton is recorded within a list of border fortifications undertaken during 1415 for Henry V. This is undetailed in later surveys of the borders, but fragments are hinted as surviving in 1715 when seen by the antiquarian John Warburton and in the later 19th century when the current Middleton Hall was built.
