Bronze Age cist burial, Beanley West Farm (Hedgeley)

People built this cist for the burial of their dead in the Bronze Age period. The cist was found somewhere on Beanley Moor in 1824. The cist contained a pot, a flint tool and a human tooth, which may have been the remains of a cremation.
