Bronze Age Cists (Cheviotside)

A number of Bronze Age stone-lined graves have been found on Athelstane Mount. Several of them contained the remains of some prehistoric pots, which would probably have been used as containers for cremations. The Mount is traditionally associated with the Saxon King Athelstane.
