Rothbury Cross (Rothbury)
The Rothbury Cross is one of the best surviving examples of Anglo-Saxon sculpture in Northumberland. It is decorated with carved figures, basketwork and foliage. The lower part of the cross is now used to support the font. The cross probably dates to the late seventh century. Part of this cross now resides at the Museum of Antiquities in Newcastle.
