Church of St Lawrence (Berwick upon Tweed)

A medieval charter mentioned that the church of St Lawrence stood here, though there is no record of it after about 1300. When Cheviot House in Castle Terrace was built in the 19th century the foundations of the church and several graves were found. As recently as 2000 human remains, probably from the churchyard, have been found in the area.
