Horncliffe Fort (Horncliffe)
An aerial photograph of this site shows the cropmarks of a rectangular enclosure surrounded by three ditches. This may be the remains of a Roman (AD43 to 410) fort. This is a Scheduled Ancient Monument protected by law.
