Old Yeavering Henge (Kirknewton)
These are the remains of a Bronze Age henge, a kind of ditched and banked enclosure used for religious purposes. It was first recorded on an aerial photograph of the area. A grave of the same date was found by the western entrance to the site. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
