Hut circle settlement and field system east of Rackside (Cheviotside)

The remains of a prehistoric unenclosed hut circle settlement and associated field plots survive as earthworks near an outcrop called Rackside. The hut circles are 9m and 10 across with walls standing up to 0.3m high. To the west of one of the hut circles is an area of ground that has a smooth appearance and is probably an area cleared of stone for cultivation. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
