Elsdonburn Shank hill farm (Kilham)

This is a 19th century hill farm situated on the northern slopes of Coldsmouth Hill. The cottage and outbuildings were probably built in the mid 19th century but the rear wall of the building is unusually thick and may suggest an earlier, more defensive, type of building once stood here.
