Neolithic stone axe head found near Longhorsley (Longhorsley)

This Neolithic stone axe head was found in 1870, approximately a mile west of Longhorsley by Mr Leighton. The axe head was given to The Society of Antiquities in Newcastle. It is probably stored at the Museum of Antiquities, Newcastle upon Tyne.
