Smallburn Iron Age camp (Longhorsley)

Between 2000 and 3000 years ago, during a period archaeologists call the Iron Age, people created this circular enclosure surrounded by a ditch with a bank on either side. The enclosure may have contained houses, or it may have been a stock enclosure.
