Roman period native settlement on Loansdean Hill, Mitford (Mitford)
Between 1500 and 2000 years ago, native farmers lived in a round house here, within a square-shaped enclosure surrounded by a ditch. The remains of the settlement can be seen as cropmarks on an aerial photograph.
