North Dissington (Stamfordham; Ponteland)

This is the site of the deserted medieval village of North Dissington, which was first recorded in 1312. The last few houses had disappeared by the end of the 18th century, and a plan of 1777 shows the area as a park. There are now no remains to be seen.
