Romano-British Settlement (Whitton and Tosson)

This enclosure is probably the remains of a Roman period settlement. It stands on the summit of the ridge called Birky Ridge. The settlement is visible as a hut circle and a series of curving stone and earth banks. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
