`Warriors' Graves' Bronze Age cairns (Brinkburn and Hesleyhurst)

These three cairns were built for the burial of the dead by people in, what archaeologists call, the Bronze Age period. They are part of a larger group of cairns near the Iron Age hillfort at Lordenshaws. The Warriors' Graves are a Scheduled Monument, protected by law.
