Keys to the Past

Medieval farmstead north west of Clennell (Netherton with Biddlestone)

This farmstead is medieval in date and comprises four enclosures, defined by low earth banks which stand up to 0.7m high. Two rectangular houses are attached to the outside of one of the enclosures and they measure 4m by 6m. This was probably a settlement for one or more families and their livestock. This is a Scheduled Monument protected by law.
