Roman altar (Bywell)
A piece of a sculptured stone has been discovered in St Andrew's churchyard and placed in the chancel. The stone measures 0.5m by 0.4m by 0.2m with a band of ornament on all four sides. It has been interpreted as a Roman altar but this is not confirmed.
