Hunstanworth, Mine Site (Hunstanworth)

The site of a mine in the area of Nookton, Hunstanworth, was observed in early December 1992. The site was known from the Geological Survey survey slips.

The site consists of a series of small open cuts and shaft mounds with associated spoil and hand-dressing waste tips. There are adjacent gulleys and hollows which may be primitive buddles.

The report notes that there is no easy access to water, although close to a stream. The site is directly opposite Beldon Mine {D5047}.
