Bollihope Common (Bollihope Common)
On the north side of the Bollihope Burn there are a number of early industrial features. These survive as earth covered mounds and in places are being eroded by animal and water action. Radiocarbon dates of this site indicated a late Anglo-Saxon date for lead smelting in the area.
