Keys to the Past

Holwick, Hind Gate (Holwick)

A number of remains can be seen at this site. The traces of a Roman (AD43 to 410) settlement survive, and include a D-shaped hut circle, the foundations of a small rectangular building. The remains of a possible cairn stand nearby.
