Burnt mound, east of Widdy Bank Farm, Forest-in-Teesdale (Forest-in-Teesdale)
This burnt mound lies on the south side of the River Tees. It is visible as a circular bank of burnt stones and charcoal. This site probably dates to the prehistoric period. This is a Scheduled Ancient Monument protected by law (1).
